4 Chakras has developed a Capacitation Programme to enable NGO's to navigate through the myriad of new demands through effective structuring, capacitation, systems and processes and tools. The programme also creates different leadership and operations mindsets to prepare leaders of these organisations for the new landscape and challenges that they face. The objective of the programme is to create the building blocks for sustainability in each of these NGO's. These building blocks include:• Strategy• Governance• Service Offering• Institutional arrangements (organisational components and human resources)• Funding• Leadership• Succession`WHO IS THE PROGRAMME AIMED AT?This programme is aimed at funders and NGO's themselves. An interesting development in the sector over the past few years is that funders are looking at different ways of ensuring that their funding of organisations creates some sort of longer term stability (service delivery and organisation). Often, funders make large investments only to find that once the funded programme comes to an end, the organisations are unable to survive. Many funders are now looking to/providing capacity building interventions to ensure that basic building blocks are in place for sustainability. Funders of NGO's can benefit from this programme by adding it on to the funding they are already providing. In this way the impact that they make in these organisations is more developmental than only financial.NGO's who are in trouble can also take on this programme to help them navigate through the crisis and position themselves on a growth path.The programme benefits all NGO's irrespective of service, size, years in existence or geographical location. There is a common misconception that only newly formed NGO's require capacitation support. The programme is structured in such a way that it caters for the needs of any and all NGO's
