BELA (Basque Electrical Laboratory Alliance) brings together the facilities and expertise of accredited (ISO/IEC 17025) and independent testing laboratories that complement to each other to offer a wider range of tests to electrical equipment manufacturers. At BELA we perform development and type tests to accelerate the technological development of our clients and improve their competitiveness. BELA´s testing capabilities include but are not limited to: • HIGH POWER LAB/2500 MVA/50/60 Hz/41.5 kV/40 kA/3s (MV);80 kA/1s (LV) • HV LAB/1500 kV AC/3500 kV BIL • VARIABLE FREQUENCY RESONANT TEST UNIT FOR ON-SITE TESTING /260 kV/80 A/20-300 Hz • HIGH CONTINUOUS CURRENT/12 kA/3-phase (50 Hz/60 Hz) • LARGE CLIMATIC CHAMBER/Tª:-45 to 85ºC/Humidity 10-98%/4.2x3x2.6 m • SALT FOG CHAMBER (ageing test)/2.5x2.5x1.5m • DUST, SALT SPRAY CORROSION, UV AND FLAMMABILITY CHAMBERS We test: LV & MV Switchgear, MV & HV Cables, LV, MV & HV Instrument Transformers, MV Distribution Transformers, MV & HV Insulators, MV Sensors, Power converters, etc.
