Bethesda Fire Department provides coverage to 33 square miles of district (Map) located in the eastern part of Durham County, North Carolina. There are 8500 Residences and 678 Businesses including part of RTP (Research Triangle Park).We run out of two stations:Station #1 is at 1724 South Miami BoulevardApparatus at Station #1: * E-411 2004 Sutphen Pumper/Tanker * L-413 2003 Sutphen 100′ Aerial Platform * R-414 1990 Sutphen/Saulsbury Heavy Rescue * E-412 1992 Sutphen Pumper/Tanker * Sq-419 2000 F250 Squad Truck * M-41 2006 Ford E450 Ambulance * M-42 2005 Ford E450 AmbulanceStation #1 is staffed 24/7 by full time, part time, and volunteers. Minimum staffing is 2 three person crews assigned to the first two apparatus dispatched. Bethesda also provides an EMT driver for the medic truck and Durham County provides one paramedic.Station #2 is at 7305 Leesville RoadApparatus at Station #2: * E-421 2008 Sutphen 75′ Quint * L-425 1987 Sutphen Pumper/Tanker * Br-417 1983 GMC/E-One Brush TruckStation #2 is staffed 24/7 by full time, part time, and volunteers.
