Българският съвет за устойчиво развитие (BGBC) е организация с нестопанска цел в обществена полза. Съветът е създаден през 2009 г., за да посрещне предизвикателствата на съвремието. BGBC работи за радикално подобряване на средата на живот с ясен фокус върху устойчивото строителство, обединявайки всички, които споделят мисията му и работят в различни, но свързани помежду си области: планиране, дизайн, строителство, фасилити мениджмънт. Съветът разработва и участва в програми на Европейския съюз, свързани с устойчивото развитие и енергийната ефективност. Организацията има водеща роля и съдейства за налагането на единен стандарт в България за сертифициране на сгради и съоръжения. Българският съвет за устойчиво развитие работи в тясно сътрудничество с Немския съвет за устойчиво строителство (DGNB) и е единствената организация от България, член на Световния съвет за устойчиво строителство (WGBC). --- The Bulgarian Green Building Council is a non-profit organization for public benefit. The Council was created in 2009 to meet the challenges of today. BGBC has the ambitious mission to work for a radical improvement of the living environment with a clear focus on sustainable construction. The Council brings together all who share its mission and work in different but interrelated areas: planning, design, construction, facility management. BGBC develops and participates in EU programs related to sustainable development and energy efficiency. The organization takes the lead and contributes to the implementation of uniform standards in Bulgaria for the certification of buildings and facilities. BGBC works in close cooperation with the German Council for Sustainable Construction DGNB and is the only organization from Bulgaria – member of the World Green Building Council.
