Cantina Gaffino is the result of its area (Rome - Latium) as well as the final outcome of three generations of Gaffino who have invested efforts and passion in wine production. Our farm consists of 32 hectares, of which 28 hectares are cultivated with vines with an average number of 5.500 plants per hectare on volcanic and clay-rich soil. The red varieties we grow are Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Montepulciano and the whites: Viognier, Verdicchio, Trebbiano and Malvasia. Some of our wines:DOC ROMA ROSSO a blend of Montepulciano, Sangiovese and Petit Verdot; characterized by a complex bouquet, full-bodied; a soft wine with a long clean finish dominated by toasted notes.IL BUO BASTARDO, a wine comes from a pleasant blend of grapes created by our cellar. The blend of different grapes – elegant and full bodied the first varietal, generous and lively the second varietal- gives to the wine a full taste and a deep red colourFOJETTA 100% Viognier. A Wine with intense and elegant aroma made from the vinification of Viognier grapes Fermentation at low temperature that allows to bring out qualities of freshness and balance of the product of this varietal.
