The Center for Judicial Excellence, is a community-based organization established to improve the judiciary's public accountability and strengthen and maintain the integrity of the courts.CJE is committed to educating policymakers at all levels about the systemic gaps within the courts, as well as potential solutions.CJE specifically advocates for the creation of a Judicial Performance Evaluation (JPE) System in California, a proven method being used in 19 states to educate voters about the performance of the judges they elect. JPE's evaluate judges' adherence to the Canons of Judicial Ethics that they swear to uphold - and not the popularity or politics of their decisions.
