Ramona and I decided to chronicle our hiking experiences in an easy to use blog format. We are doing this so folks that can't get out and do the hiking themselves can still enjoy the scenery. Please note, most of the interactive content on this site requires Javascript be turned on in your web browser.I've managed to get MOST of our hikes up on the site with picture albums to go with them. The newer hikes include a fancy schmancy Google Maps track that I recorded with my BlackBerry (which you can download and follow along with on your own smartphone/gps unit), and most of the new ones also have geotagged pictures, so you can see exactly where they were taken. Amazing technology.I've also included a way for you to get driving directions directly to the trailhead of most of our hikes! On the TRIP MAP link at the top of the page you can select the pushpin for a trip then click Directions – then scroll down and look below the map – theres two input boxes (A and B). B is the destination (which is already filled out for you) – just type in where you're leaving from (home address for example) and Google will display driving directions for you (note that Google is the only one that sees your address, I do not have any desire to know where you live and I do not retain this info at all).
