The Council for Scholarship, Inquiry, Design, and Engagement (C-SIDE) Jupiter is a CSI cohort centralized to the FAU MacArthur Campus established to promote undergraduate engagement in scholarly activities by fostering a culture of research at FAU Jupiter. General body meetings (GBMs), professional development workshops, research seminars, and collaborative events within the Jupiter research triangle provide students with opportunities to take advantage of FAU and partnering institution's great and existing resources. For instance, C-SIDE's annual Scripps Research Lunch/Talk/Tour gives twenty-five FAU students the opportunity to tour Scripps Research and learn more about their phenomenal internship programs. Open forum and discussion-based GBM's allow students to congregate in a safe space, free of judgment, to discuss difficulties finding research opportunities as well as difficulties encountered during internships. Various workshops, such as "How to Email a Principal Investigator" and "Applying for Undergraduate Research Grants," give students the tools they need to be successful in their undergraduate research pursuits.
