While farmers are not getting fair price for their produce, customers are finding it difficult to manage with the ever rising prices of agro products. All this because of lesser produce per acre, inefficient logistics with skewed supply chain. To this end, Edenbag is an Agro-products company that aims to: - Solve every-household problem of uneven and unpredictable pricing of high-frequency daily consumable Agro-products (e.g., fruits, vegetables, pulses, rice, spices, etc.), - Solve nation-wide problem of high food inflation and HUGE disparity in the agro-product prices at consumers and producers end, and - Become India's first reliable agro-product brand. India's agro-product market is Rs 10 lakh crore, and is catered to by unorganized players. We are currently operational in Gurgaon with focus on only fruits and vegetables market (which itself is a Rs 2,500 crore market) and we intend to capture 5% of this market by 2018 while simultaneously expanding into new markets and launching other product-lines. How are we doing it? - Selling Fruits and Vegetables, our first product line, through multiple sales channels. Own outlet stores (3 stores in Gurgaon - catering to consumers habitual of touch/feel buying), Online portal (www.edenbag.com), Mobile App, WhatsApp, Toll-free number, and monthly subscription plans. - Keeping complete control on all aspects of supply chain. Own procurement team, own warehouse/cold storage, own delivery teams that deliver on bikes / commercial 4-wheeler. - Lot of experimentation around sales automation and low cost client acquisition.
