FocusMaine is a ten-year, private sector-led initiative to accelerate the creation of quality jobs in Maine by investing in three of the state's most globally competitive and high-growth fields: agriculture, aquaculture, and biopharmaceuticals. Additionally, we are focused on sparking an increase in, and return of, critical workers to Maine for these sectors and others.Our effort is supported by our deep ethos of collaboration that supports promising new opportunities to grow quality jobs in Maine. Founded in 2014 and led by president, Kimberly Hamilton, PhD, FocusMaine's extended team represents leaders from corporate, entrepreneurial, research and government sectors.Just as our name suggests, we are focused and driven by targeted goals with a defined timeline for impact. FocusMaine will measure our value and success by the pace of job growth. We will leverage our powerful public-private network to invest in and create thousands of quality jobs in our signature industries and local communities over the next decade.
