The Swiss-based Fondation Guilé is a non-profit organization that aims to promote corporate responsibility, focusing on respect for the dignity of the human person and universal values attached to it. \It focuses its activities on corporate responsibility in the process of economic globalization, and cooperates closely with the United Nations Global Compact (the world's largest framework for businesses committed to CSR) to address the sustainability issues at a global level. It also coordinates projects and events that bring CSR issues to the attention of economic, political, social leaders and thought-leading scientists, as well as "forward thinkers" beyond the fashions, ideologies, constraints and pressure groups of our time.\ On behalf of the investors of the Guilé Engagement Funds, Fondation Guilé assesses the sustainability reporting (or 'Communication on Progress' for signatories of the UN Global Compact) of all portfolio companies once per year. To that end, it has developed a unique methodology to evaluate corporate sustainability reporting in two dimensions: comprehensiveness and quality of information. This GuiléAssessment™ is the stage prior to the engagement with companies, which seeks to foster further implementation of the UNGC principles within their business model.
