Our Story:Before moving to a small town in rural Minnesota, Muhammad Lucman, the of founder of First Reach, was unaware of the sheer lack of mental health access. Currently, 60% of rural and 40% of urban zip codes in the US do not have a psychiatrist. He experienced this personally when his friends had to wait over 3 months to see a therapist. He was shocked to see how hard it was to see someone quickly. Some stressed out students either dropped out or self medicated themselves drugs such as alcohol. Most people cannot afford to wait 3 months for treatment. He knew he had to do something to help. So how do you fix this? We developed an easy to use virtual platform where over 80% of visitors get to a licensed clinician within 15 minutes. This is the future of healthcare. No long wait lines.
