Fresh Start Surgical Gifts provides comprehensive medical care for disadvantaged, uninsured, and under-insured children suffering from physical deformities and other conditions caused by birth defects, accidents, disease, or abuse through the gift of a Fresh Start. Since incorporation in 1991, Fresh Start Surgical Gifts has provided $42 million worth of free medical services to infants, children, and teens, servicing patients from the greater San Diego area and around the globe. On average, 400 patients receive Fresh Start Surgical Gifts' medical services each year. To date, over 7,900 children have received a Fresh Start. Our long-term commitment to each patient ensures the best possible outcome, no matter how long it takes. Some of our patients have been with Fresh Start Surgical Gifts for decades.Fresh Start Surgical Gifts holds 6 surgery weekends annually where renowned medical physicians and professionals provide reconstructive surgeries for children suffering from physical deformities. Fresh Start's one-of-a-kind comprehensive approach to medical treatments also includes Dental Clinics, Speech Therapy Clinics, Laser Treatments, and Preventative Health Education.
