Goldberg Group began in 1981 as Lawrence Goldberg Architects, and quickly developed a reputation for creative problem solving, innovative design, and cost effective new construction and renovation. In 1984 LGA made a corporate commitment to criminal justice planning with the Missouri Department of Corrections, Central Missouri Correctional Center project, the first of 6 prison projects for the state of Missouri. The firm continues to specialize in criminal justice projects, applying its innovation and creative problem solving throughout the nation, in master planning, designing, and building. At the same time, they achieve uncommon levels of performance in commercial, medical, and residential architecture. In 2013 LGA changed its name to Goldberg Group Architects.
