Ideas for Action Africa (I4A Africa) is a regional African youth organization focused on promoting the Ideas for Action Initiative across the African continent. The Idea for Action initiative is a joint program of the World Bank Group and the Zicklin Center for Business Ethics Research at the Wharton School. This program aims to engage as many as possible young people from around the world, on the road to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It invites today's younger generation in the conversation about the SDGs and gives them an exceptional opportunity to take an active and essential role in delivering these goals, by finding innovative ideas and solutions for financing and implementing the SDGs through the I4A Competition. Winners of the competition present their ideas during the IMF & World Bank Annual Meetings, receive support from a dedicated startup accelerator at the Wharton School, and benefit from unique networking opportunities with other young leaders as well as some of the most senior decision-makers in international development, academia, and the private sector.Ideas for Action Africa recognizes the critical role of innovation and African youth in ending extreme poverty a way that none one is left behind, while building an environmental sustainability, across Africa. It seizes the opportunity granted by Ideas for Action to work on expending awareness and knowledge of the SDGs and the I4A Competition, in Africa. It's a call for SDGs –oriented ideas related to Africa but also a promise of the highest attention at top Africa-related proposals with an objective of facilitating implementation.
