The company developed DataClub, the first dustributed file system for the Apple MacIntosh, presenting users with a single unified hierarchy of folders that looked the same from anywhere on the network. That was big news in 1990 when the most common alternative was walking down the hallway with a floppy disk. Upon launch DataClub immediately went into the Merisel top 10 list of best selling software, where SoftPC was still also listed, and after two quarters of sales the company was acquired by Novell, who at the time were the undisputed leader in local area networking software.
