Iranian Biology Society, which is comprehensive of all specialized and interdisciplinary fields of biology with the aim of creating convergence among all activists in this field and creating consensus and using all human and infrastructural capabilities to deepen this science in various dimensions and help decision-makers and planners in the country Formulates and pursues its goals and plans.The Iranian Biological Society was first established in 1973. Considering that the past of Iranian biology can be considered as the establishment of the Academy of Arts in 1229, which began with two fields of medicine and technology.After the Dar al-Fonun, the Central Teachers' College (1298), then the Higher Dar al-Muslimin (1307), and then the University (1313), which has five disciplines in the fields of Persian philosophy and literature, history, geography, mathematics, physics, chemistry, and natural sciences. The University of Tehran was also established in 1313 and the Faculty of Science of the University of Tehran with three disciplines of mathematics, physics, chemistry, and natural sciences in 1330 began to work at its current location at the University of Tehran.The field of biology at the undergraduate level after the University of Tehran at the University of Isfahan (1344) Ferdowsi University of Mashhad (1347) Razi University of Kermanshah (1350) and Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman and Urmia (1356) respectively and then Master's and doctoral courses were continuously developed in different universities of the country.In September 1992, at the first meeting of Iranian biologists, the Biology Society resumed its activities and every year in one of the universities of the country has organized a national conference. In the second meeting (September 1993), he presented the publication of the Iranian Journal of Biology by presenting scientific research articles of the Iranian Biological Society.
