Jersey Shore Beach N Boat Fishing Tournament Details
The Jersey Shore Beach N Boat Fishing Tournament is a season-long, inshore, multi-species fishing tournament that challenges anglers of all skill levels to compete for cash and prizes. It will run annually from April 1 through November 30 and is open to anglers of all ages. The mission is to see who catches the largest fish in New Jersey within each eligible species category.The Tournament is open and accessible to everyone. Participants may fish from the beach, a kayak, canoe, private boat, party or charter boat, in bays, or the ocean. Prizes will be awarded for the largest catches for each recognized species for the span of the tournament and for special segments during the main tournament. Eligible species include striped bass, fluke, bluefish, black drum, weakfish, kingfish, black sea bass and tautog (blackfish).The Jersey Shore Beach N Boat Fishing Tournament will donate a portion of the proceeds to the Fisheries Conservation Trust (FCT), a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization created to help identify and explore issues of concern to the conservation, development, and wise utilization of coastal recreational fisheries resources.The Jersey Shore Beach N Boat Fishing Tournament will donate a portion of sponsor proceeds to The Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund. The Jersey Beach N Boat Fishing Tournament is supported in part by a grant from the New Jersey Department of State, Division of Travel and Tourism.
