I am a figurative sculptor who generally sculpts in clay, wax, or plaster which is then cast in bronze or sometimes less expensive materials. After earning my Masters Degree in sculpture in 1995, I was awarded a commission for a life-size exterior sculpture (St. Monica), and have worked professionally as a sculptor ever since. To view more of my work, please visit my website www.jsesti.com. My experience covers all aspects of sculpture from armature, mold-making, wax, casting, etc. and is not limited to realistic work. (See Winghaven sculpture.)Client relationships have been very rewarding. I am proud to say that through our mutual desire to produce an excellent product during a time period that usually spans several months and sometimes years, my clients have become respected friends. I will be happy to provide references.Commissions usually begin by the client giving me an idea of what they are wanting, possibly submitting a photo. I follow with submission of a clay sketch or drawing, with prices and options of size, casting materials, etc. When an agreement is reached, a completion and installation time is decided, and my work begins.
