LadiesWhoHoop ("LWH") is an organization that empowers women of all ages through the game of basketball. The LWH community consists of hundreds of women, spanning four generations, who share a common love of basketball.\ \LWH programs employ and engage women in traditionally male-dominated fields. Key LWH programs include the LWH Summer Classic – the first women's basketball tournament to be founded and facilitated by women, for women, with no male component, and the LARKS Youth Basketball Program – a unique all–girl program that provides basketball instruction from an all–female coaching staff to help strengthen confidence and character in young ladies. Other initiatives include giving women of all ages opportunities to play basketball free of charge throughout the year in friendly, non-judgmental yet competitive settings, offering special events and enrichment programs to support and enhance the growing LWH community, and creating environments for women to support, uplift and applaud each other, both on and off the court.\ \By providing women with platforms to showcase their athletic, officiating and coaching skills, LWH programs are changing community perspectives on women's sports and influencing people of all ages – male and female – to see women's athletics as equal and relevant.
