Live On Line was founded in 1995 and acquired by Digital Island in January of 2000. Digital Island was later acquired by Cable and Wireless. Live On Line was an early pioneer in the production, acquisition, and delivery of streaming media and rich media over the Internet, producing some of the largest streaming broadcasts and events for customers such as Apple Computer, Arista Records, Comedy Central, Fox, Microsoft, MTV and Sony Music. At Digital Island, Live On Line had continued to deliver some of the largest live streaming media entertainment events on the Internet, such as AC/DC, the American Express Blue Concert Series, Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, Metallica, Madonna, N*SYNC, O-Town, and Pink Floyd. Live On Line was later rebranded Origin Digital and acquired ultimately by Accenture in May of 2008'
