Music - Los Angeles, CA, US
Machine Head specializes in sound design and music production in the fields of advertising and film; broadcast, digital, interactive, sound installations and architectural soundscapes. Founded in 1991 by Stephen Dewey (London/Los Angeles/New York), Stephen is widely credited for starting the sound design movement in commercial advertising production and as a Sound Designer has defined his craft as the 'composition of sound'. In the beginning it was film director Ridley Scott who first noticed Stephen's talent while working on "Black Rain." Scott then asked him to work on a Superbowl commercial for Nissan. This was his debut commercial and his first award winning project, "Turbo Z". Today Stephen, along with his creative team, remains fascinated by the creative process, the creative community, and the artful possibilities of sound to transform the way people connect and interact with brands.
