Malachite Media Services is a family-owned private company based in Somerset West in the Western Cape. Our motto "Adding value where it matters" is more than a tagline – it is our business philosophy. Adding value to the businesses and industries we serve is our sole purpose and right to exist in a competitive industry.Established in 1994, the company's first annual publication was the "South African Defence Industry Directory" – a contract awarded by Armscor. SADID, as it became known, to this day remains the premier tool used by the South African defence-related industry to market its products and services at international defence shows and exhibitions. The experienced gained from SADID helped us secure another annual industry directory contract, this time with the Perishable Produce Export Control Board – a parastatal organisation based in Plattekloof, Cape Town. The directory, branded as the PPECB Export Directory, features annual export statistics of all perishable goods as well as information on South African companies in the export supply chain. This industry contributes over R20 billion rand annually to the economy and the directory became a significant tool in marketing South African produce and services internationally. In 2013 the directory was rebranded as a Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries publication. 2013 also saw the launch of the SA Event Guide – our own annual publication that serves as a reference guide to the approximately 5,000 role-players involved in the South African event industry. In 2015 we joined IFEA Africa – the premiere association in South Africa supporting and enabling festival and event professionals through Continued Professional Development programs. The SAE Guide will in 2016 be rebranded as the IFEA Africa Directory.Malachite Media Services boasts an impressive array of multi-national companies as clients and is uniquely positioned to keep adding value to our clients and the industries we serve.
