The UTSC Women's and Trans Centre serves the following purposes:a) To consciously raise awareness and promote education about feminism as defined as the following: "a movement to end sexism and sexist exploitation, and oppression."[1]b) To provide resources and references on women's issues pertaining, but not limited, to feminism, health, and equity.c) To provide an open and anti-oppressive space at the University of Toronto at Scarborough.Dealing with the systematic, institutional, and academic challenges of today requires problem-solvers who bring different perspectives and are willing to take risks. The UTSC Women's and Trans Centre emerged out of a feminist pursuit to inspire and support the campus community, and a desire for actions to speak louder than words. Established by students, we're an organization driven by progressive ideas, bold actions, and a strong foundation of support.
