Children are innocent to the crimes of their parents but can lose everything when their parents are sent to prison. We believe they deserve a fair chance in life to develop their full potential. Founded in China in 1998, Morning Tears is an international non-profit organization which stands up for children of convicts via awareness raising and capacity building. We are active in several countries and have a national level impact on childcare / protection in China. Morning Tears is the recipient of several awards incl. the prestigious 5-year National China Charity Award in 2010 and the Christoffel Plantin Prize in 2012.Over the last 16 years we have gained a wealth of first hand-experience in working with children of convicts & traumatized children. Our staff includes leading global experts on children of convicts. We work closely with universities and hospitals in Europe / Asia as well as relevant international forums incl. the United Nations.
