Founded in 1930, NFOP is a not-for-profit membership organisation that provides help and support to individuals who have saved for a pension, whether in receipt of a pension or as a deferred scheme member. Through NFOP scheme members would have access to a number of helplines including initial legal advice, tax services, an Accident Aftercare service, an informative and entertaining magazine six times a year, and opportunity to be part of a local group where they can meet and socialise with fellow members. NFOP also has a travel club for deals on holidays, hotels and travel insurance. The NFOP Welfare Fund can provide grants to members in need. There is a small subscription cost which can either be paid by the individual, scheme, or employer. Schemes and employers can include our information with a communication piece to their members and leave it up to the individual to choose to join or the scheme, or employer, can cover the subscription cost by offering NFOP as part of a retirement package. NFOP represents nearly 70,000 members giving them a voice on the key issues affecting them in later life.
