Release is a not-for-profit organisation that reduces recidivism in Ireland by establishing long-term, holistic support with Ex-Offenders. Our Approach:We Relate to our clients through visiting and mentoring those in prison, listening to their individual needs, and fostering long-term relationships that extend beyond the service user's sentence. We Restore by offering Alpha, Recovery, Nua and Prayer courses in prisons. The curriculum emphasises the recognition of various addictions, taking responsibility for one's own actions, and provides steps and support to make positive behaviour change. Finally, we Reintegrate clients - joining arms with a network of partner organisations to provide comprehensive housing, welfare entitlement, job training and placement, community supports, family remediation, and counselling services upon release from prison.Release helps ex-offenders build practical plans for reintegration and provides referrals to our partners in Care After Prison, Jobcare, Pathways, Tiglin, and others.
