The mission of Serenity House Impact Youth Prevention Program is to equip this generation and community with the truth, empower them to make healthy choices, and ensure a future of high confidence, self-worth, and the ability to maximize their potential. Impact's staff has a heart for youth and our community. We want them to experience healing, friendship, goal setting, and the ability to make good decisions. Our passion is unwavering and we are committed to build resiliency towards substance abuse."Keep them from jumping in upstream, and you won't have to fish them out downstream."Drug and Alcohol addiction is a disease, and it is contagious. It does not spread through germs; it spreads through systems – families, schools, communities. It is a cycle that has to be broken somewhere. Treatment for recovering alcoholics and drug addicts is one part of this process, but another important piece of the puzzle is prevention. We believe that if we equip our youth with the truth about drugs and alcohol and empower them to set goals, make healthy decisions, and resist peer pressure, we can prevent many of them from becoming addicted in first place.Impact youth prevention specialists are known throughout Abilene, Wichita Falls, and the surrounding areas for their creativity, compassion, and ability to connect with students of all ages. We are passionate about the youth of our community and believe that knowing the facts about drugs, tobacco and alcohol up-front can help students to make the best decisions.Through our Youth Prevention Universal (YPU) and Youth Prevention Indicated (YPI) programs, we serve over 8,000 students in Abilene and the Big Country, Wichita Falls, and now Cisco and Eastland. Are you a teacher, counselor, or principal?
