The Hive Network South Africa is an accelerator programme, creative hub and networked community, with a marked investment to develop and inspire creative entrepreneurs. We believe that supporting enterprising creatives lays a cornerstone in bolstering and bridging a gap in Southern Africa's social and economic development. Starting with South Africa in 2015, we recognised great opportunity in harnessing the power of start-ups, with research indicating gaps in start-up skills, networking, finance and infrastructure as barriers for growth in entrepreneurship and doing business in South Africa.We are home to 60 early stage startups, enabling an environment that fosters collaboration, social cohesion and community resilience. Our community of member entrepreneurs have businesses across design, music, food and beverage services, film and more. Our passionate team works to create routes for economic inclusion for them, supporting members to be competent entrepreneurs with market access opportunities.We pride ourselves on being at the heart of creative culture, exposing new and growing businesses to a large Southern African community. Our community also offers access to a wealth of insight on a highly influential youth culture. We are committed to lead in creative entrepreneurship support and development in Southern Africa, extending this out across the continent and beyond in the next decade. In other words, Johannesburg is only the beginning!
