The Lighthouse is a restaurant and concept store located in Dubai Design District (d3) and Mall of the Emirates. The Lighthouse menu focuses on innovative Mediterranean-inspired dishes prepared from fresh and seasonal produce providing the highest quality food in an informal environment – whether this is at Mall of the Emirates or Dubai Design District. The Lighthouse concept store boasts a handpicked selection of gifting merchandise including glassware, serveware, travel and lifestyle accessories as well as books and papeterie by international and regional designers. The Lighthouse is named after one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the Lighthouse of Alexandria, a figure that remained one of the tallest man-made structures for many centuries. The name is also a nod to the modernist author Virginia Woolf and members of the Bloomsbury Set who gathered for conversation and companionship, and, while doing so, shared many meals together. This philosophy is at the heart of The Lighthouse ethos as it aims to inspire dialogue through collaborative events including book readings and live conversation sessions.
