Data-Driven Analytics Education and ResearchThe UC Center for Business Analytics, a corporate-academic partnership, brings together best-in-class stakeholders, and a world-class multidisciplinary group of MS Business Analytics and Information Systems faculty and students. The Center promotes the use of data-driven analytical methods that improve business, government, and organizational performance. We engage faculty and students to work with Center members and business organizations to develop methods and models for using large data sets.The Center sponsors three annual analytics events: 3 Day Analytics Summit Conference and Training in the spring, a topical Analytics Day in the winter, and a Data Science Symposium in the fall. Business professionals, academics and students attend these events to network and learn about the latest technologies and best practices in the analytics industry. The Center actively seeks sponsors and partners to help expand the events and introduce attendees to analytics companies who can help them implement and grow their data analytics programsAnalytics Training classes, open to all, are also offered by the Center. These are typically two-day intensive training sessions on a wide range of analytics tools and methods including Tableau, MS Power BI, Data Management, Python for Data Science, Big Data Hadoop, R for Data Science Series, Analytics in Excel, Data Mining and other topical courses.The Center offers analytical research and consulting services, as well as, onsite corporate analytics training, using actual company data, in any area of data analytics and data management.
