We are involved in researching and developing software utilities for well-known Microsoft Servers to perform daily routine maintenance and reporting tasks.It goes beyond doubt that 80% of help calls received by any frontline team is related to mundane tasks like creating and adding people to a group, password resets, adding new users etc.The helpdesk team is so overwhelmed by these requests that they each day are just barely able to complete the routine tasks.Most of the routine tasks have to be manually done which is very repetitive giving rise to fatigue. Which often lead to cut, copy and paste errors.We have attempted to automate most of these tasks, such that most of the places where you need to copy and paste data from elsewhere is auto populated, reducing the percentage of human errors and making the work faster with a high level of accuracy.The application also has a lot of help built in for new users in a way such that a person having basic knowledge of servers can comfortably work, without having to remember complex command syntax.
