Welcomer provides a way for individuals to enter data once and reuse it many times. The data can be reused within applications, across applications with the same organisation, and between organisations. For organisations it provides a way to engage more fully with individuals with any organisational approved application. It also provides a way for organisations to fulfil their legal obligations and protect personal data.Working together organisations and individuals can reduce fraud and reduce the number of cases of identity theft.Welcomer provides a set of APIs that an application developer uses to create copies of personal data that an organisation is willing to share with some other organisations through approved applications. When an application uses these APIs it is said to be Welcomer Enabled.Existing applications can share the data they hold by providing an API to Welcomer Enabled applications. They do not need to change and the organisations holding the original data retain control over the data through the approving applications that access the data.An example of the use of shared data is shown in the application http://www.WelcomeAboard.me where agreements between a person and an organisation can be stored. These include employer employee, company shareholders, company customers, organisation members, etc.Individuals can be given access to their past transactions for purposes of identification or proof of income or proof of credentials etc.Individuals can have a common place to store their biometrics such as voice prints, photoids, email addresses.Organisations can use the system to provide single signon across applications.
