Enabling anyone to access the most up to date and comprehensive understanding of any organism, concept, mechanism, structure, or process in as much detail as they need, like, or want. Putting the cumulative research of hundreds of thousands of scientists and hundreds of millions of hours researched at your fingertips in a new way. We process as much relevant data that is available & accessible provide our users with a powerful and intuitive user interface that will provide all known qualitative & quantitative data about the process or concept being observed, as well as where the limits of understanding are. This resource will allow science educators to plug and play with biological concepts when building their syllabus's whilst providing students a single resource for learning in school & exploring biology to their hearts content on their own. This being a digital platform allows metrics & analytics to take over for normal testing, and experience in a concept will be correlated with several user metrics & quiz/challenge activities that will provide better data and insight into Science education. We also strive to give scientists more recognition & increase their social presence. To do this a citation field in the UI will change based on what is selected by the user, it will display data on the concept's publication(s), authors w/pictures, discovery date & pub. date, etc, and quick access to the most recent relevant review as well as the most closely related articles. This provides a degree of transparency & recognition in the scientific community that has never existed. By building this service BIOS will materialize the philosophy of continuous learning, and decrease the barrier of entry into life sciences in a 21st century way.
