Founded in 2002, the Nonprofit Center of Northeast Florida is a member-driven organization that serves as the primary authority on and advocate for the region's nonprofit sector.The mission of the Nonprofit Center is to:• Create a thriving nonprofit community by equipping sector leaders;• Facilitate collective action; and• Enhance public understanding of nonprofits and their impact on the local economy and quality of life.To advance this mission, the Nonprofit Center:• Connects nonprofits to one another and to information and resources;• Convenes members and organizations to build consensus, leadership, and stronger nonprofits;• Advocates for the nonprofit sector with elected officials, funders, community leaders, and the media;• Develops programs, services and resources; and• Communications nonprofits' impact and value to the community.
