Aarhus School of Marine and Technical EngineeringPart of Aarhus since 1896The organizational structure of the school is found in the Danish Maritime Authority under the Danish Ministry of Business and Industry. The school was founded in 1896 and from the year 1968, the school has been a selfgoverning institution with its own board of directors authorized to educate Marine and Technical Engineers.On campus, we have a very attractive and active study environment. Through a society called; "The Student Union", students are represented in the school's board as well as working organization.Every year we have a soccer tournament for the students and their teachers, just as the weekly "Friday Bar" is a popular and renowned place to assemble.The professional environment is characterized by the school's objectives concerning development, which have placed Aarhus School of Marine and Technical Engineering in the lead in terms of improvement of the teaching environment and teaching quality. The professional environment is also influenced by our close collaboration with the Engineering College of Aarhus, a teamwork on all levels which, among other things, involves exchange of teachers, interdisciplinary projects and general knowledge sharing.
