Founded in 2004 by Maurie Brashaw and Bill Craig, APASI's, Guaranteed Travel Assurance Plan offers a membership plan, where in the event a member passes away more than 75 miles from their legal residence, APASI will arrange and pay for the necessary services needed to return the member to a funeral home or mortuary. APASI always takes directive from Next of Kin as to the disposition needed for our members. APASI will provide embalming or cremation services at site of death. This is done so that the family is not burdened with high and unexpected costs, at the difficult time of losing a loved one. Now appointed CEO, Tim Brashaw and his certified agents have helped APASI to become the industry leader in the Return of Mortal Remains, while working with some of the North America's largest funeral homes and preneed companies. Our members travel with confidence, knowing that they are covered almost anywhere in the World. The Guaranteed Travel Assurance Plan, (GTAP), coverage spans the globe. As long as there is a U. S. Embassy or Consulate in the country where our member passes, we can get them home, with no added stress or costs, to the family.APASI, in conjunction with Assist America, has six response centers throughout the world. The main center is located in Princeton, NJ. Along with back up centers in Mexico, Beijing, Manila, Beirut and Mumbai. All six of the response centers are staffed with multi-lingual assistance coordinators to handle calls from all over the world. The calls come into the response centers and the coordinators handle the cases as quickly as possible, to get the member to their final destination.
