Thirty years later and with a growing student population at VCU, APB has re-branded to expand its presence in the community it serves and improve on the services and events provided.APB was previously organized into two different organizations; VCU Homecoming and APB at VCU. However, the organization decided to merge the homecoming committee into APB. This merge has allowed the organization to expand from offering basic events to now offer educational events through lectures, spirit events that support athletics and weekend programs to offer something for students in the Richmond area. The full mission statement now reads "The Activities Programming Board is a student led organization that fosters school spirit, awareness, and diversity & inclusion through a wide-variety of events for the VCU community". The key phrase "diversity & inclusion" was added to the statement to promote one of APB's goal this year; to make APB events a safe place that welcomes and fosters diversity and inclusion. For up-to-date information on APB and events throughout the year, connect with APB on Facebook at "Activities Programming Board-APB" and on Twitter and Instagram at apb_vcu.
