Feenix is a crowdfunding (online fundraising) platform that students registered at South African public universities can use to connect with their communities and fundraise towards achieving debt-free education. Individuals and businesses who have an interest in supporting youth education are able to find a student they connect with and contribute either a portion of or the entire outstanding fees amount. Individuals and businesses can also donate directly to the Feenix Pool Fund which is allocated in accordance with the B-BBEE criteria. Organisations can receive recognition in both Skills Development (SD) and Socio- economic Development (SED) categories when supporting Feenix students. This is dependent on the organisation's workplace skills plan.
