The Perth Centre for Photography (PCP) is WA's only dedicated photographic arts organisation, promoting and supporting emerging and established photo-based art. Our goal is to increase the advancement of contemporary photographic practices, to incubate wider audience engagement, placing great Australian art on the world stage. With assistance from our ongoing partners and sponsors we;- Deliver a diverse annual program of gallery and off-site exhibitions of the highest quality for local and visiting audiences - Create and deliver educational programs for all- Provide internships and opportunities for employment- Create studio residency and professional mentoring opportunities- Facilitate information exchange and networking opportunities- Deliver artist studio residency exchange opportunities- Facilitate exhibitions opportunities interstate and internationally for WA artists- Provide a platform for emerging and established local, national and international artists in Perth building awareness of photo-media art for the residents and visitors of Western AustraliaWe also offer countless opportunities for social inclusion, community pride, tolerance, participation, discovery, learning and overall increase in quality and enjoyment of WA life. Our program provides such opportunities by offering links between people through an accessible free to low-cost range of art and culture events and opportunities aimed at supporting or/and fostering; inclusivity, cultural awareness, reconciliation and tolerance, a sharing culture and celebration and diversity of WA culture.
