Boyce, founder and first president of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. In addition to being a Southern Baptist statesman, Boyce sought to innovate the world of theological education by making it more convictional, rigorous, and accessible. This vision for theological education that is biblically orthodox, academically challenging, and widely attainable, though articulated over 150 years ago, lives on through the leadership of R. Albert Mohler Jr., president of Southern Seminary and Boyce College.Today's Christian college students and graduates will face challenges that previous generations could not have imagined.
