For over twenty years, Margie Ruddick Landscape has been recognized for its pioneering work in the landscape. Winner of the 2013 Cooper-Hewitt National Design Award in landscape architecture, our studio has forged a design language that integrates ecology and culture. We like to bring together aspects of the landscape that seem to contrast – wild and urban; formally ordered and a little let out, with attention to the messy margins where life happens. We like to make landscapes that are generous and full of life; clear and economical of means; sometimes odd, sometimes unexpected, always beautiful. We consider beauty to be an important part of what we do.
