Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains compete at the pinnacle of motorsport – the FIA Formula One World Championship. Based in Brixworth Northamptonshire at a purpose built Mercedes-Benz Technology centre we are a highly talented, professional and ambitious team of people, responsible for the design, manufacture, testing and racing of Formula 1 power units for Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS, McLaren, Williams and Aston Martin. Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains also undertake advanced, high technology projects in order to transfer F1 technologies and know-how into mainstream automotive and high performance road cars. The most significant programme at present is the design, manufacture and testing of a hypercar power unit for the Mercedes-AMG Project One vehicle. These traits have seen the Mercedes-Benz Formula 1 Turbo Hybrid Power Units to achieve consecutive F1 World Drivers Championships from 2014 to 2020, securing a record breaking eight consecutive Constructors’ Championships.
