CUT FROM A DIFFERENT CLOTHMedium Rare Chef Apparel is a small locally owned Calgary company that designs chef wear. A decade ago, two hard-working chefs branched out to create a line of high quality culinary apparel that was functional and stylish - something that was lacking when they were in the kitchen. Our brand can now be seen in restaurants near and far.In March, when the pandemic hit, Medium Rare Chef pivoted its production to make reusable face masks. As the restaurant industry shut their doors and restaurant owners and staff struggled, so did apparel companies. We joined many industry friends and started to produce masks. We make all of our masks through a local factory right here in Calgary, Alberta. We initially introduced a purchase 1 donate 1 program and were able to donate over 3000 masks to many charitable foundations and front line workers. We have moved away from the donation program as our small company could not keep up with the demand. We still wanted to give back to the community and now donate 10% of all mask sales to Mealshare. Medium Rare Chef is a proud supporter of Mealshare, their partner restaurants and their mission to end youth hunger within our lifetime. Our masks have been getting remarkable reviews.
