The Boy Scouts of America is the nation's foremost youth program of character development and values-based leadership training. The mission of the Scouts is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. \\We serve more than 6,000 young people in partnership with more than 1,500 adult volunteers in Berkshire, Franklin, Hampden and Hampshire counties of western Massachusetts. The council has programs for youth ages 5–20.\\Now that Cub Scouts is open to both girls and boys, even more youth will have access to the awesome character development and values-based leadership opportunities that Scouting provides them. \\Scouting is more than just an activity.
