Clinical Research Coordinator at University of South Carolina School of Medicine - Columbia, South Carolina, United States
USC SOM was established in 1974 to improve health of South Carolinians by augmenting the state's physician workforce. Over the past four decades, we have become a nationally recognized leader in primary care education, and about one-half of our graduates have chosen to practice in South Carolina. Our school has grown in size and complexity, with programs in genetic counseling, nurse anesthesia, rehabilitation counseling, and physician assistantship joining our medical training programs. Our biomedical science degree graduates are becoming the next generation of scientists who will identify tomorrow's cures for today's toughest health care problems. Even as we have grown, our students and faculty tell us that we have maintained a personable, nurturing environment, where every student matters, and where we treat each other like family. As we look to the future, we want to think big while staying connected as if we were small.
