We are a private, non-profit organization governed by a twelve member Board of Directors. NMHR was founded in 1976 with the overall mission to "provide services and advocacy to improve lives and strengthen communities". We are in a unique position to pursue federal, state, private and local funding, giving us the flexibility to focus our efforts and maximize resources to better serve the changing needs of our communities. CAP of NW MT programs are community-based. We serve individuals and families by identifying and using available community resources and services to promote long-term self-sufficiency and independence. CAP of NW MT serves the four counties of northwestern Montana: Flathead, Lake, Lincoln and Sanders Counties. These counties total 13,375 square miles and are home to over 130,000 people.
