Bennelong Australian Equity Partners (BAEP) is a boutique asset manager offering Australian equities solutions for institutional and retail clients. The business was founded in 2008 by Mark East in partnership with Bennelong Funds Management. BAEP manages four Australian equities funds which primarily select stocks from, but are not limited to, the S&P/ASX 300 Index: - the Bennelong Australian Equities Fund, which holds between 25-60 stocks; - the Bennelong Concentrated Australian Equities Fund, which holds between 20-35 stocks; - the Bennelong ex-20 Australian Equities Fund, which holds between 20-60 stocks, excluding those from the S&P/ASX 20 Leaders Index; and - the Bennelong Twenty20 Australian Equities Fund, which holds between 40-60 stocks through a combination of actively managed ex-20 stocks and a passive exposure to the top 20 stocks. BAEP has received industry acknowledgment, winning the Australian Equities – Large Caps Manager of 2015 and 2012 at the Professional Planner/Zenith Fund Awards. The team was a finalist in the same category in 2013. BAEP was also runner-up for Money Management's Rising Star Fund Manager of the Year Awards in 2012.
