Fizzics Education has been a leading Australian provider of interactive science workshops and shows since 2004. Through its engaging science programs and corporate partnerships Fizzics Education presents to approximately 300,000 children each year via incursion and video conference across 400 schools and public spaces throughout Australia and around the world. As of 2015, Fizzics Education has staff in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra and in Shenzhen, China.Science presentations are run in schools and in non-traditional environments such as movie cinemas, shopping centers, libraries, juvenile justice centers, hospitals, park lands, sports stadiums, retirement homes, university theaters and any other facility able to accommodate large or small groups of people. From preschool workshops to Year 12 presentations to public edutainment, the Fizzics team brings science to life and makes science learning fun and more importantly... memorable. We are an active corporate member of the Science Teachers Association New South Wales (STANSW).Fizzics Education is also actively involved in Virtual Excursions Australia (VEA), a portal for people to contact leading video conferencing content providers across Australia. VEA is a network which includes over 40 cultural institutions that meets monthly to discuss best practice in running lessons via video conferencing and plan collaborative distance learning programs for schools, libraries, retirement homes, hospitals and more. In 2013 VEA members reached 100,000 students across NSW alone.Fizzics Education was founded by Ben Newsome, qualified Science Teacher and a former Environmental Consultant, Children's Summer Camp Director and CSIRO Education Team Member.Ben is a co-founder of Virtual Excursions Australia, the recipient of the 2013 Northern Districts Education Centre (Sydney) Winston Churchill Fellowship and is on the ISTE Interactive Video Conferencing Professional Learning Network leadership committee.
