The National Research and Development Foundation (NRDF) is a non-profit, non-discriminatory, participatory organization involved in the people-centered development in Pakistan with a focus of activities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab and FATA. The organization was founded in 1988 and was registered with the Registrar Joint Stock Companies under the Societies Act of 1860 in July 1993 vide Registration No. 3420/5/2352.An 11 members governing body manage the organization while 56 full time staff members including 11 core staff members and 54 part time experts are taking care of the daily operations.The provincial and district "Core Groups", comprising of Ulama (religious clerics) and members of local communities provide them with the required support to plan and implement local level projects. In addition, a strong group of advisers support the working committee in carrying out its responsibilities. The NRDF work both at the macro and micro levels.
